Simple Methods to Repair Corrupted Pen Drive or SD Card..

Step 1: Connect your storage device to your PC.
Step 2: Right-click on My Computer/This PC > Select Manage option from the menu.
Step 3: Now click on the Disk Management wait for some seconds till Virtual disk show up in the middle of the menu.
Step 4: Click to select your storage device > Right click > Select the Change Drive Letter and Paths option.
Step 5: Click the drive letter (it turns blue) click on Change.
Step 6: Select the drive letter you want to assign from the given drop down list > Click Ok
Method 2: Use it on another PC
Your PC might have some issue, that issue can the reason that it is not running the USB flash drive. We recommend connecting your SD card/Pen drive to another PC. It may work and you can take a backup of your data through it.
Method 3: Use another USB port
It may look like what the use of connecting the Pen drive/SD card to other ports, in some cases the USB port you are using might be damaged or the port may have some sort of software issue which we will be covering in the fourth method. You can simply try to connect it using different USB port and it may work.
Method 4: Reinstalling the Drivers

Step 1: Right-click on My Computer/This PC > Select Manage option from the menu.
Step 2: Click on Device Manager which will be located on the left side.
Step 3: Now Double-click on Disk Drives from the list. Then Right-click on the name of your storage media.
Step 4: Click on Uninstall > Ok.
Step 5: Eject your storage media and restart your PC.
Step 6: Connect you Storage media again, your PC will be able to detect it.
Method 5: Repairing the corrupted Pen drive or SD card using Windows Explorer
The most simple way to repair your corrupted storage media which is connected to your PC.
Step 1: Go to My Computer/This PC.
Step 2: Select your corrupted storage media and Right-click on it.
Step 3: Click on Format from the given options.
Step 4: Click on the Restore Device Defaults form the popup window.
Step 5: To begin the process of formatting, click on Start. Check the Quick Format option form the first time. If you want your PC to dig deep and scan your storage media to find out the errors(It will take time) then uncheck the Quick format option.
Step 6: A dialog box will appear saying that the data will be lost, click on Ok. It will take a few moments to complete the format process let it complete and you will have an error-free SD card/Pen drive.
Method 6: Repairing corrupted SD card/Pen drive using CMD
In this method, we will be using Windows Command Prompt (CMD) commands to forcefully format your corrupted storage media.
Step 1: Connect your corrupted pen drive/SD card to your computer.
Step 2: Bring your mouse icon to the start button and Right-click on it.
Step 3: Select the Command Prompt (Admin) option. A CMD window will be opened.
Step 4: Type the command as given down in the CMD window and press enter,

Step 5: Type the command as given down in the CMD window and press enter, this will display all the storage components attached to the PC

Step 6: Type the command as given down in the CMD window and press enter, (Eg. select disk 0). If you type the wrong number of the disk you might format the internal hard drive. Make sure to check it twice.

Step 7: Type the command as given down in the CMD window and press enter, it will clean the disk completely.

Step 8: Type the command as given down in the CMD window,
create partition primary
press enter,
active
press enter,
select partition 1
press enter.
Step 9: Type the command as given down in the CMD window and press enter, it will format the storage media into fat 32 type.
format fs=fat32
You can NFTS instead of fat32 if you will store files greater than 4GB.
Step 10: Let the format process complete. Do not close the window until the process gets completed.
Method 7: Removing bab sectors and repairing SD card/Pen drive
Data is stored in different sectors on the storage device. In some cases, the sectors become unusable, which eventually gives rise to bad sectors. You can perform a USB drive repair by running some simple commands.
Method 8: Recover lost Data
The SD card/Pen drive must be in working in order to recover data from it. You can use Sandisk Rescue Pro which will help you to recover your data in case you have deleted your files or formatted your SD card/Pen Drive by mistake.
